Services
• Shared Business Services – The Turbine Flats Project must provide a well rounded set of basic business services that will help guide Entrepreneurs past many of the pitfalls to starting their businesses. From sourcing Legal, Accounting, Insurance, and Marketing services at discounted or no cost to providing high-speed Internet access, photocopying, and a library of technical resources, the Idea Community Strategy helps ensure that the businesses have everything they need to plan and implement their strategies effectively.
• Recreational and Social Collaboration – The Idea Community will provide a healthy social environment where entrepreneurs and their employees can enjoy the down-time benefits of a fitness center, coffee shop, common recreational areas and media room. These services ensure that the overall cost of attracting and retaining talent remains low for the tenant facilities while helping maintain a physically, mentally, and emotionally healthy community.
• The Q-Factor – The Coolness Factor will be significant in the success of the Idea Community. Incorporating iconic themes of uniqueness, originality, and cult-like heroes, the facility will be a place where entrepreneurs and employees alike find a reflection of their identity and a symbiotic essence of coolness.
• Community Education and Outreach – A major responsibility of the project will also be to make a connection to the community to find the "Diamonds in the Rough." This will be accomplished through open house events, outreach to high-schools and youth leadership groups, and providing scholarships and other resources to future and potential entrepreneurs.
• Developing Lincoln's Metrodentity – Lincoln has often been faulted for trying to be Omaha, Kansas City, or some other Metropolis while still fighting to stay small. Turbine Flats will work to make Lincoln into nothing other than the "Next Lincoln." We believe that there are a great number of resources, a healthy amount of pride, and some good-old-fashioned Nebraska ingenuity in our city. Our responsibility is to bring that all under one roof to enable, encourage, and ensure the success of tomorrow's Lincoln businesses.
