We were the sole participants of BRING YOUR DOG TO WORK DAY.
Good for us :) , sad for everyone else :(
Use a worm to lure a fish... use a puppy to lure the ladies.
If you know what I mean.

Oh yeah, and we're having some high-speed fiber internet installed.
It's getting closer and closer to the building! It better be fast.

At last! NOW EVERYONE SHALL KNOW the name of the building...
The sign was knocked-out by Jake Balcom. He's pretty rockin.

The Lincoln Green Building Group came by for a Straw-bale Design and Construction workshop.
If you're like me, just the thought of straw simply being used as goat feed gets you so excited you need to reach for your emergency inhaler; then this seminar on EVEN MORE USES FOR STRAW would have blown you away.

Turbine Flats was graced by unusually colorful walls thanks to the efforts of young artists from Clinton Elementary School.
Students put their creative work up for sale to support the School's arts program. They're brilliant!

Art is an investment. This piece will some day be worth millions.

Turbine Flats Project Event Opportunity Dream Community Development Lucky Best Building House Campus Castle OPEN HOUSE!
Thanks for everyone who showed up to support the building by exercising your (exhausting) civil power to party-down.

The festivities were plentiful.

Turbine flats: the gathering.

This jacob's-ladder appears as a kind of spectral flame in the lense of the camera. It was perhaps even more spectacular in person.

A display of hackey-sack skills on a glorious Friday afternoon. A few minutes of hackey-sack is a good way to get pumped during your day at the desk.
A few hours of it is a fantastic way to get fired.
Worst employee ever.

This $@%#&*, right here.

Behold, the castle Turbine Flatselot!
What reptile has the healthiest digestive system?
Why, the BRANaconda, of course.

I know it has been a few months since the last update, but I assure you that just like Pegasus rising from the decapitated head of Medusa, an office arises from the forge of construction!
There are a lot of important elements to this image; the paint, the finished door, and the metal name-plate. However, I dedicate this image to the brave photographer who snapped it just before they toppled to the floor.

These slick name plates were produced by Jake Balcom, a master of his art.

Working or plotting?

Seriously, the place is cool.

It's cool even when warmly lit.

Not sure how to celebrate the Turbine Flats journey thus far?
Why not try the house drink, the Spinning Turbine!
I wanted to double the alcohol and call it a Turbine Flattener.
Lots of food, drinks, and people filled the future offices.
Our fearless leader; immortalized in pumpkin form!
I call them the The GDL Project Band.
You know it's indy when it has "project" in the title.

Those scissors were no joke. Is that the mayor?
A few words from the main man to kick-off this pep-rally.
It's a big day at the new turbine flats building. We had a great turn-out.

Lets get this party started.

Floor scrubbing is an executive duty round' these parts.
P.S. I tried it and it was, like, real hard.
Working in a filthy, half-finished, floor sealant reeking,
repurposed warehouse is a great way to meet, you know, the ladies.
Are you ready for construction nonsense?
